This Week (7 - 13 March) – Prayer Theme - Here and Abroad

  • ‘Pop it in’ gifts this month are for the Homeless Centre
  • A funeral service for John Edwards will be held on Monday 8 March, at 10:40am at Southend Crematorium, followed by a Thanksgiving Service at Battlesbridge Free Church at 12:00noon. Please let Gwyneth know if you will be attending
  • The Forgotten Faithful - the Arab Church in Palestine - Wednesday 10 March, 7:45pm at Billericay URC. A presentation by Richard Jones of Biblelands (an organisation who since 1854 have taught the young and healed the sick in the Middle East)
  • A funeral service for Alex Stewart will be held on Thursday 11 March, 3.00pm at Southend Crematorium
  • Mens’ Club AGM 7:30pm for 8:00pm on Thursday 11 March, followed by fish and chip supper
  • Saturday 13 March, 10:30 - 12:30pm. Christian Aid information morning put on by Christian Aid staff. The group visiting will be giving a presentation, DVD and open question time. The meeting is open to all and will finish with a short worship and then a "bring your own lunch" with soup and drinks provided
  • Womens' World Day of Prayer - Friday 5 March, 1:45pm at Holy Trinity Church, Rayleigh. Speaker Rev John Townsend. All welcome, men, women and young people. Service prepared by Christian Women of Cameroon. Theme: Let everything that hath breath praise God
  • Swinging Sixties Night with Full Circle at the Warehouse Centre, Brook Road on Saturday 6 March from 8pm. Dance or just relax and enjoy the music from the 50s, 60s and 70s. Bring your own food and drink. Tickets £6 to support special needs sessions at the Warehouse. Available from Phil Thomas or Graham Back
  • Unfortunately, we have had to cancel the coffee morning on 6 March
